Agility Level One

Course Length: 6 weeks
Course Fee: $186.00 incl gst

Get ready for the most popular dog sport! This course will teach you the skills needed to play agility. Emphasis on motivation and targeting. Basic pieces of agility equipment will also be taught (kept at a lower height)
Intro to Clicker for Sports - 1-2-3 Game - Targeting - Building motivation & Team Work - Weave poles - Jumps - Plank Walking - Tip Board - Tunnel

Prerequisite: Step Ahead or Practical Living (or equivalent intermediate level obedience at another training school) with reasonable off-lead control (eg. dog stays with around owner fairly well when off lead, has a good recall and a solid stay amongst distractions). Clicker knowledge is helpful. Dogs should be 7 months of age or older at the start of the session.

Agility Level Two

Course Length for Level two: 6 weeks
Course Fee for Level two: $186.00 incl gst

Agility is a great activity to keep both you and your dog active and thinking. Using the exercises learned in Agility Level One, you will learn full size pieces of equipment and start basic sequencing.
Jumps - A Frame - Raised Dog Walk - Weave Poles - Tunnels and Chutes - Pause Table

Pre-requisite: Agility Level One or equivalent sport motivation training at another training school

Agility Level Three *A great way to keep your dog exercised.

Course Length: 6 weeks
Course Fee: $186.00 incl gst

In Level Three, you will learn the "direction" words to play the sport. The emphasis will be on sequencing and beginning stages of handling. Most dogs do Level Three at least twice before moving on to competitive classes.
Go Forward - Out to the Side - Work on the off side - Weaves and Contacts - Sequencing

Pre-requisite: Agility Level Two or equivalent training elsewhere. Your dog must be comfortable on all pieces of equipment before taking Level Three.

Agility Competitive Handling Skills

Course Length: 6 weeks
Course Fee: $186.00 incl gst

This is a competitive level class, geared towards trialing your dog. There will be emphasis on the dog and handler as a team. This course is evolving, and may be different each time it is held. Dogs will be able to keep up their skills on a weekly basis. New training techniques and ideas will be discussed in class. Official AAC rules will be included at this level.

Stay in shape for the Agility trial season !

Pre-requisite: Agility Level Three, taken at least twice.

Agility Competitive Games

Course Length: 6 weeks

It's time to learn the rules and play the games ! Each class will consist of one standard run or official AAC agility game. The rules will be explained, and you will be given a chance to walk the course and play the game. Snookers, Gamblers and Jumpers will be included.

Prerequisite: Agility Level Three, taken at least twice.
